About This Site

So what’s this all about? Well, first, it’s a personal accountability blog. Life’s a lot more interesting with goals and hobbies, and more progress is made with regular tracking of them.

Second, it’s a place to store interesting items I’ve learned along the way and want to remember. I read somewhere that this is now referred to as a “second brain”. A quick Google search showed this term was coined by Tiago Forte in 2015, so it seems I’m a bit late to the party. However, people have been recording their thoughts in one form or another throughout history, so whatever.

Lastly, this is a way to “put myself out there” and confront my own sense of perfectionism. Although it’s highly doubtful that anyone will ever see any of this. (Especially now that no one scrolls past the Google AI suggestion.) Trust me, kids. The internet was a lot more fun before all the lawyers and corporates showed up.

Disclaimer:

This is an affiliate blog. Yes, I know that affiliate marketing is dead and I should have done this 20 years ago. I actually did, several times, but there’s that whole perfectionism thing again.

Anyway, if you ever click on a link for an item I recommend and purchase it, I may receive a small percentage as a result, at no expense to you. Please note that I only recommend products that I have personally used and found to be beneficial.

Also, those links will always open in a new tab. (I know you’d be devastated if you were ever pulled away from my incredible insights and witty repartee, so no worries, I got you.)
